چکیده

Background: The integrated motivational-volitional (IMV) model is the second theory based on ideation-to-action framework. Objectives: current study aimed to investigate motivational phase of this in Iranian population. In study, threat-to-self moderators included cognitive emotion regulation strategies and thwarted belongingness perceived burdensomeness as moderators. Materials Methods: A total 405 participants (68.6% female; mean age: 22.7 years) filled out several self-report questionnaires, including Defeat Scale, Entrapment Beck Scale for Suicidal Ideation, Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire-short, Interpersonal Needs Questionnaire-15. order assess IMV model, structural equation modeling with interaction latent variables was performed. Results: results indicated that overall model’s fit poor. Although explained 70% 61% variance entrapment suicidal ideation, respectively, pathway between ideation not statistically significant. findings demonstrated most effective predictors were belongingness. Conclusions: add our knowledge what constructs are more critical emergence ideation. It hoped will lead a greater interest field research future.

Comparing groups on latent variables: a structural equation modeling approach.

Structural equation modeling (SEM) provides a dependable framework for testing differences among groups on latent variables (constructs, factors). The purpose of this article is to illustrate SEM-based testing for group mean differences on latent variables. Related procedures of confirmatory factor analysis and testing for measurement invariance across compared groups are also presented in the ...

Structural Equation Modeling: Categorical Variables

In the behavioral sciences, response variables are often noncontinuous, common types being dichotomous, ordinal or nominal variables, counts and durations. Conventional structural equation models (SEMs) have thus been generalized to accommodate different kinds of responses.

Structural equation modeling with latent variables for longitudinal blood pressure traits using general pedigrees

Structural equation modeling (SEM) has been used in a wide range of applied sciences including genetic analysis. The recently developed R package, strum, implements a framework for SEM for general pedigree data. We explored different SEM techniques using strum to analyze the multivariate longitudinal data and to ultimately test the association of genotypes on blood pressure traits. The quantita...

A Model of Iranian EFL Learners\' Cultural Identity: A Structural Equation Modeling Approach

This study aimed, firstly, to investigate the underlying components of Iranian cultural identity and, secondly, to confirm the aforementioned components via Structural Equation Modeling (SEM) analysis. In order to achieve these goals, the researchers reviewed the extensive local and international literature on language, culture and identity. Based on the literature and consultations with a grou...
